Telesis developed BT3 Software, a functional test tool, to address three major deficiencies in the functional software test tool market.
- One size does not fit all. Today’s leading functional test tools are marketed as out of the box solutions. The reality is that each application under test (AUT) has unique characteristics that these “plug and play” solutions cannot handle without significant, expensive configuration work. Telesis has spent many years configuring functional test tools to work the way they should. We created BT3 to address those application nuances and configuration variations.
- End User Test Perspective. Today’s functional tools test from the developer’s perspective, not from the end user’s perspective. Most AUT’s fail, however, because of inadequate testing from the end user’s perspective. BT3 solves this problem by capturing real, every day business processing into test scripts and prioritizing them so that the most critical AUT business processes are always tested first. Business personnel, quality analysts, and developers can use BT3 throughout the SDLC for testing SDLC/CMM or agile testing processes to build and maintain test scripts.
- Coding. With all the deficiencies in today’s tools, developers have taken to coding around the tools. The result is another layer of code that has to be tested and maintained. BT3 cuts out this extra layer by getting the testing done right the first time. Test scripts are reusable and tests are repeatable.
